Privacy policy

Only what you type into the booking form, plus a few technical details:

• Your device: category, brand, model, variant, and your answers about its condition
• Your name and 10-digit mobile number
• Your city, pickup address and pincode
• The pickup date and time slot you choose
• The estimated price shown to you, and your booking reference
• Your IP address at the time of booking, used only to stop spam and repeated fake bookings

We don't ask for photos of your device, ID documents, bank details or payment information on this website. You don't need an account to sell.

• To call you, confirm the price and arrange the pickup you booked
• To send a pickup partner to your address on the date you chose
• To keep a record of the booking in case there is a question about it later
• To block spam and abuse of the booking form

We don't send marketing emails or SMS, and we never sell your details.

Your booking goes to the CashMyDevice team. To complete the pickup, we share the details needed for it (your name, phone number, address, device and pickup slot) with the pickup and buying partner who visits you. We don't share it with anyone else, unless the law requires us to.

The website runs on Vercel (hosting) and Supabase (database). They store the data for us and can't use it for their own purposes.

The public site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Your answers while you choose and describe your device are kept in the page address, not in a cookie. Only our staff dashboard uses a cookie, to keep staff signed in.

We keep booking records for up to 2 years so we can answer questions about a sale, then delete them. You can ask us to delete yours sooner (see below), unless we have to keep it for a legal or tax reason.

You can ask us to show you the details we hold about you, correct them, or delete them. Call or email us from the number or address you booked with and we'll do it within 7 working days. You can also cancel a booking at any time before the pickup.

Bookings are sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and stored in a database that only our team can read. No method is perfectly secure, but we limit who can see your details to the people who need them for your pickup.
